Got some more levels, and another ML!

Today I woke up for school, and then found out it was a snow day. It was cool, because at first I didn't want to go so I went back to bed, then I got waken up being told it was a two hour delay. I decided not to go with the delay, and then I found out from a friend that it wasn't a delay, but an actual full day off. So I didn't do anything wrong :P. I woke up real early, and began leveling. At first I did Shadow Tomb, and then after a while of spending money and boredom, I went on to dwarf guards as other Nobles had suggested. It turned out to be a great idea. The spawns aren't very crowded, and there's a lot of respect deeper down there. The exp is pretty nice, and the loot is GREAT. I managed to get 8k from the hunt, after only spending 3.5k for fluids with a full level as well. While I was down there, Noble Mefoige came down to help me drag the bag back, and also helped me do Crusader Helmet Quest. There was someone already there doing the giant spiders, so it was pretty easy to do, and then we left, and I mana sat for the rest of the day after buying all but two spells up to my level. Today was good, and tomorrow my goal is level 40. So good luck to me, and good luck to you readers.

Still working on those levels

Today was pretty boring for the most part, as I leveled while I was very tired and not having much fun. I went across a few tombs looking for a vacated one, and finally found one in that of Shadow Tomb. Now, I'd never been to shadow tomb before, and it was suggested by a Noble so I decided to check it out. It was great exp, good for the fast levels and it gives just about as much as I spend on fluids, right back to me. So, I did that for a while until we went to hydras again. While at Hydras another mage leveled with me, and we used the assistance of a druid to heal the blocker. While we were at the Hydras, a level 30 Elder Druid comes up and starts harassing us because of something that happened when Bones and Minirshabaal came to Dara in the raid. He was mad because he thought Thallos was luring during that raid, when actually trying to block it safely. This mage then has the audacity to summon a fire devil, and then start attacking the Hydras. He continues this with other monsters when we get the summons killed, and then Mefoige comes in and the Elder Druid that had been bothering us magically died to a Hydra. A nice clean death, I might add. Then, the guy comes back and keeps doing it! So we decide to leave and part our ways. I got a full level over at hydras, and then I went to try the Edron dragon double spawn. Over there was a pally, but he didn't seem to mind me taking the spawn as he was doing another spawn underground. I must say, at first it seemed like everything was going smoothly, but if you don't bring healing runes things don't go so well for a sorcerer. Hell, even if you do bring the runes, its still costly. I used up 3bps of fluids and only gained 400gp in return. During this time it took each dragon 5-7 minutes to spawn, and they usually spawned at the same time to make matters worse. After I left, I went back to Shadow Tomb and got level 36. Things are going good, but I'm definitely not enjoying it right now with all this powergaming. That's it for now, good night people.

New challenge, New level

Today I wasn't really on for that long at all. I was at a friends for most of the day, and stopped by around 11 to get level 34. Earlier, when I was a little bit, I found out that my guild is doing the Green Djinn quest during the weekend. To do this quest I need to be level 40, so the new challenge is me getting level 40 by saturday or sunday. Keep in mind, I have school daily and this is 350k+ exp to get in that short amount of time as a low level mage. I know I'm going to do it in time, especially with the help of mana fluids, but I surely wont be enjoying it. That's all for today, stay tuned people!

New Update! Tibias 10th Anniversary!

Today I just gained magic level 37, and worked on leveling for a little bit. I had a dentist appointment and I had to leave for that. It wasn't very fun, but when I got back I enjoyed the new update festivities. Most monsters over around 70 exp dropped these cool bags. They're called surprise bags and you open them to get a special item. It can be balloons, a piggy bank, certain cakes, a party hat, as well as many other things including the rare Guido dolls. I think it was a great idea to implement this, because just like the Christmas Goblins it got me playing and actually having fun while gaining rare items, and gold. I'm happy with what tibia has been doing lately, although I'm unhappy about the updates before 7.9. Because I didn't take any pictures, the above is a random picture of my friend leveling off of dragon lords with some other mages. I better get to bed now, sleep is of the essence.

New Magic level, New level, the usual!

Today was just another day I spent primarily mana sitting, with a spice of leveling. As you can see, I gained level 33 today, and in a hurry. It was getting rather irritating with what time it was getting to, and I was simply tired of hunting period. When I went into stone tomb originally, a level 91 Master Sorcerer was already there saying "I'm here" and I left quickly. But before I did, I asked him why he would hunt in a place like this and he replied somewhere along the lines of "I'm broke and this isn't bad gp." After that I decided to go into the larva/scarab cave close to stone tomb, and I did that for a while until I wanted to relax again. Then, I went back to stone tomb finding all the monsters spawned, therefore it was all mine. I had about 40% to go, and 3 bps of fluids so I just went crazy with vis and my wand, trying to get the level as fast as possible. From this I found out that if I try hard enough in stone tomb I can get 1% per minute. Making runes is fun, and with 2 levels until invis it's just making me happier and happier. Tomorrow marks a new update to celebrate tibia's 10th anniversary, and I'm surely looking forward to it. Each person has a 1 in 250 chance in getting 3 months of premium free, as well as other festivities. As the day turns to night, I better get to bed for another annoying day of school. Have a good day, people.

More forbidden lands, with a spice of mana sitting

I started out today just mana sitting, and then went off to leveling in stone tomb. When near my level, I get a message from Thallos asking me to come to forbidden lands with them so that they could have a good hunt. I decided to do it, it's the least I can do. I didn't particularly like the place but they deserved it after all they've done for me, and I was needed so I did the job. It turned out to be a lot better this time than last time. The loot sucked, but I gained some solid mage learning skill and some experience. After all of this I'm now level 32 with 76% to go and ml 35 with 55% to go, so it all is working out nicely. Sadly during the hunt only a giant sword and warrior helmet were looted, it being a 4+ hour hunt and only those in a really dangerous area. It's believed by many that the more dangerous the area that a creature is in, the better the likelihood of good loot. All in all, now I can make explosion runes and in a few short levels I can buy invis and start hunting Necromancers. Tomorrow I may be going on the Green Djinn Quest, so keep your hand off that remote, stay right here on my site :)

Dwarf mine exploration, questing

Today was a pretty good day for me once I got home. First I mana sat for a while, and then leveled a little bit while in Ankrahmun. Level 30 meant that I could do the Paradox Tower quest and repay Noble Thallos the money I owed him. So, I started the quest and completed it in around two hours with his help in Mintwallin and POH. After paying him back, I decided to make HMM runes for a while until I eventually went hunting in the dwarf mines. I only hunted there for an hour and a half yet I managed to get around 45% of a level, while gaining lots of loot. The strategy I used was the common mage level 27+ strategy: summoning Monks to own the Dwarf Guards while using a weak wand/rod to get a little more experience points while maintaining mana. It proved to be profitable, as well as good exp but It was also a tad dangerous and hard to set up. If you don't want to hunt there for a long time, it's a waste of the fluids used just for getting down there originally. Also, if you dont want to push the Monks around all the time because it slows things down, you have to lure the Dwarf Guard which commonly means although he passes the Monks and they attack him, he'll most likely continue on his path to attack you while you're running. This can get rather messy and result in 3 Dwarf Guards targetting you in a small area, which happened to me once. All in all it was great because I gained exp and paid off my debt. I can't wait to start making money! Yeah!!!

Hydras, mana sitting, and thoughts

Today I had the pleasure of briefly hunting Hydras with some friends. During the hunt Thallos managed to loot BOH, and I got about 100% during the hunt. A cool Royal Paladin joined us to gain some exp, and it was all interesting and enjoyable. After that Thallos, being the knight, had to leave to go to the movies. We all left and went our own separate ways, as I ran through Ankrahmun getting ready to mana sit. So I mana sat all through the rest of my hours before bed, while managing to sell the 16 bps of HMM I'd already made. The prices have gotten rather depressing, only finding one buyer after many yells and only at a rate of 1.4k a backpack. However, the Ultimate Healing Runes kept their stable 3k, the sorcerers are a bit screwed with these new prices. While mana sitting I looked upon tibianews.net only to see the Picture of the day being someone gaining 10 million experience points in one day. This inspired me, as my goal is level 150 in one year, a massive 54 million experience points. In other news my weekend is free (like usual) so I have all the time in the world to get that 54 million exp. Every one of my in-game friends has been very supportive in helping me and I thank them very much for it. Have a good night anyone who reads it, and expect it to get more interesting as it goes along.

Yet another death, forbidden lands hunting

Today was both a good and bad day. For a while after I got home, I mana sat. Then, around 5pm, me and some other nobles worked on the banuta quest. Mefoige and Thallos had already done it, and they were helping me and Darinak complete the quest so that we could go there. So, we go through the boring 3 hour quest going back and forth through towns and back to port hope in a somewhat dangerous area for a level 28 sorcerer. So, most of the time I got an escourt, except for a few, and one of those times I just so happened to die to a carni and the apes. I immediately got my stuff back with the help of both Mefoige and Thallos, and we continued the quest until we were able to travel to forbidden lands. Me, Thallos, and Darinak went over there and were met by another high level knight, a mage, and Mefoige the level 84 RP. They all came along so that we could get the item necessary to continue the quest, and then everyone but me, Thallos, and Darinak left. Thallos had a plan for how we were going to hunt just one level 82 EK with a level 58 ED and a level 28 MS with tons of behemoths, giant spiders, and hydras around. The plan was to summon ds and just keep on resing. It worked pretty nicely but in an area like the forbidden lands it's really hard to stay safe no matter what. The hunt went rather nicely and I almost gained level 29, already regaining level 28 and ml 32 beforehand. Once we began to run out of mana fluids, we ran back so that we could leave, when it was starting to get late. Met by a few giant spiders and behemoths, we killed them while losing and re-summoning DS, only to get the behemoth on me right when my mana shield wore off. Amazingly, he hit me twice and the second time dropped me down to around 20hp. After that I mana shielded and Thallos used the challenge spell to get him off of me. We went back, happy with the success of the hunt in the forbidden lands (everyone lived, that was good enough). After that, I decided to head to bed, ready for another day of school. If you're wondering about the picture at the top of the screen it's an old picture from me and Armored Patrol playing around in POH in the 7.7 update a few months before I left. Have a good night everyone, and enjoy your tibia lives!

Wasn't here to play

Today I wasn't really on much besides for a little early in the morning and for a half hour before I went to bed. It was a little bit of somewhat decent mana sitting time I guess, and during the day I was busy with friends and school and all of that. Tomorrow will be more dedicated to leveling and working hard, yeah! ML 32 is right around the corner, 2% to go! Buh bye for now.

Mana sitting, mana sitting, and more mana sitting

Today was quite a boring day as you may assume from the title. Woke up, mana sat, and that's just about it besides the short periods of time regaining soul. I managed to end up with 12 bps of hmm, a good start that's going to be continuing. Got ml 30, then 31, while working on 32. Originally I was going to hunt hydras with a friend but he had to cancel. So I mana sat my heart out, while listening to music, thinking, and checking out quests and information on tibia. I thought about some of the people of the past..I miss them all so much. Anyways, not much else to say today, everyone have a good enjoyable night. Buh byes, more to come.

A look back, a look forward...

A little over a year ago was when I started to take this game seriously and actually started to learn. Through 2006, I've gained and lost many tibia friends, killed lots of

monsters whether they be demons, behemoths, dragon lords, giant spiders, hydras or what have you, as well as lots of new experiences, skills, and items. It's been a grand, yet not so grand year at the same time. Through this time I've made two characters successful, and began on a third. 115 levels altogether were gained throughout this year, while spending around 80 days regaining mana throughout the characters. I've learned the art of paladin training, and the joys that go into being a blocker. People have betrayed me and I've done some stupid things myself. Each day I learned one more important thing to mastering this game, and I'm a stronger player because of it. I hope that everyone has a Happy New Year, and enjoys the beginning of 2007. Today I gained level 28, as well as worked on lots of magic leveling. It was an okay day, but I was gone for most of the time doing other things. Soon I'll go hydra hunting and make up for the low level. Tomorrow marks day ten of this character and experiment, and I'm enjoying it for the most part. Being a mage has lots of great benefits, and I can't wait to unfold the year with it. Happy New Years again everyone!

New Years Resolutions:

Level 150

Magic Level 70

New equip: Demon Helmet, MPA, SOV, Mastermind Shield, Golden Legs, AOL, Boots of Haste, and rare items.

Another Death, Promotion, and other related info

I'm sorry for writing this late, as I said I would have all of my updates before server save, but I went to bed early and I didn't mean to fall asleep. Today I mana sat for a long time, and had some fun with the Grynch Goblins. I needed 20k for the promo, and I was broke so I really had to sell stuff big time. I sold my c-helmet, my dragon shield, as well as some other things with lots of runes. After I made it, I kept on making runes and traded 2 bps for a wand of cosmic energy. Later on when I was about out of soul I hunted Scarabs in Ankrahmun, summoning monks and enjoying the gp gained from it. Soon, when I was just about ready to leave I auto walked and my video card messed up and froze tibia. I had to reopen it and logged in to the temple of Venore, knowing I had died and lost 2 bps of hmm, my wand of dragonbreath, my crappy dwarven shield, my rope, shovel, and about 2k in gp. Because of that I have to live with the embarassing following:
Dec 31 2006, 02:02:43 CET
Died at Level 27 by a larva
After that, knowing I couldn't afford to get back to Ank, I got off for the day. I only lost a magic level, and was at the beginning of level 27 again, but it felt like so much more. It was surely a discouraging moment.

Mana sitting, relaxation

Today was a pretty uneventful day. As I explained earlier, I got premium yesterday and because of this I've been saving money for a promotion. All of the time that I was on I was mana sitting, making hmm runes and trying to sell some items to get more income. I enjoyed mana sitting up the stairs near the rots, in thais ancient temple, because without promo it was necessary for me to go down and kill rots occasionally not only for the soul but for the food. So, as I was on my way to thais to get more food, the GM logs in my corner. It was obvious that he was pursuing a report on me, probably pertaining to my long hours and mana sitting. In the picture it shows all those other people there, but they weren't when he appeared by me, and they all huddled around him, praising Smiley. Without a word of acknowledgment the GM poofs off just like that. I continue mana sitting for a while until I have out with a friend for a while. Notice the picture on top. This was taken by a friend of mine, as me and Noble Thallou did the Bright Sword Quest on Merena. Brings back both good and bad memories...Anyways, that's it for now. Hopefully it will be more interesting in the updates to come!

Deaths, Premium, and lots of fun

Today, I managed to die two times after I had just done the 10k quest. First I was in the OLC area and didn't heal enough while dealing with a mino mage, dropping part of my equip as well as items. It was only around 10k, but it meant a lot to me and I went back to get it. I wasn't prepared, and I had a plan of going around and grabbing it from the south side, by going through the wild warrior/bandit area below. So, before I did that I tried getting in through the other way, it wasn't much of a success. As I passed by ready to mana sit so I could go through the other side and survive, I saw a level 25 sorcerer. He certainly could have taken them out, and he was headed in the direction so I rushed the opposite way passing by lots of tarantulas, only to meet a lured gs at the entrance of the wild warrior area. "When did spawns reach so far?" I asked myself as I quickly died yet again. I found out that the spawns have been changed and there's more giant spiders in different places. I find POH to be really messy with all of these tarantulas and such running around all over the place, but it's how it was meant to be. After that, I took a short break, telling myself I was not gonna quit and that I needed to work harder to make up for it. So, I got back on and hunted dwarf soldiers and guards, getting from level 23 back to 25 and then my friends helped me get premium. Everything worked out fine, and I still owe them tremendously for it. After that, to celebrate my new premium, me and Noble Thallos went hunting in the tombs. He blocked for me, and I summoned Fire Devils and managed to get level 26 rather fast. After the fun hunt, he had to go, and I leveled off by myself for a while, only to end up with 5% to go and mana sitting. The 5% was easy, and it marks a good day for me. Not only did I get premium, but my friends care about me (good thing to hear), and I managed to get a few levels even after dieing. Now I can summon monks and fight much harder things! In turn it all worked out fine, and I really enjoyed this day. When I get the money I'll buy me a promo, but until then, catch ya later!

More levels, and thoughts on things

I got up late last night and managed to get the two levels I needed so that I could start making hmm runes. The two levels were mostly off of dwarf soldiers, in two different mines outside of Kazordoon. So, in need of cash I mana sat for most of the rest of the day. During that time I watched tv, and occasionally would stop by to the computer to check something out. After a while I hopped over to tibiacity.org, and started watching the videos and reading the news. It's fasinating about the team doing the POI quest, Cipsoft sure has been fixing that one up for a while now. Anyways, after watching the full video it was interesting to see all the cool new monsters and how well all those high levels worked together. It's rather unfortunate that three people died doing the quest, and I hope they're blessed with the best of luck in the future to make up for that. What struck my eye after watching that video and viewing the video list was a video of an ex-friend of mines tibia life. I didn't decide for us to end the friendship, and it was certainly a indescribable feeling: a mix of jealousy, hate, amazement, happiness, and lots of other things at once. I try to suppress the negative thoughts, and I hope that Kut-Kusari keeps it up and enjoys it every step of the way. I was a tiny piece of the puzzle to that character, practically to an insignificant degree yet when I watched it I thought of a lot of the memories we shared. Whether it be hunting, or just talking, it was good at the time, and I will miss it. The video was showing a picture of each level, 1 through 100, and it was quite interesting to see the pieces of that puzzle that I did indeed miss. Anyways, this brings me to another thought. Just like in many scenarios, ways of life, jobs, video games or what have you, tibia is a place with many acquaintances and very few friends. We have lots of opportunities to gain more friends though, but it still remains the same. There are only a few quality friends in a handful, and if you add a lot more, you're still going to have the same percentage. The good friends are what keep us playing this game, the honest thoughtful players like: Thethem, Armored Patrol, Nakaru, Xzuwish, and many more that I can't put my finger on right now. My point is, enjoy what you have, and make the best of it. You don't want to lose those solid tibians, because you'll have the big void inside without them. As I feel now...Have a great night everyone.

Hard leveling and confusion

Today I managed to get two levels as well as a few magic levels. The first one wasn't so hard, but the second was killing me. I was getting tired and wanted to get done with the level so I could just relax, and mana sit. Level 22 to level 23 ended up taking around seven hours, constantly searching new places to hunt. I tried the following places: Venore rots, Mt Sternum cycs, many dwarf mines including the main one connected to Kazordoon, as well as Outlaw Camp and a few other miscellaneous places. Practically everything was packed, but Outlaw Camp/the Poh area. So, I go down there. Immediately I'm faced with the challenge of a lured Mino Mage, and tons of bandits and smugglers where they never used to be. Turns out the whole area was updated, and that Poh extended itself further into the surrounding areas. Tarantulas were running rapid, and there were dead Giant Spider bodies way further than they used to be able to be lured. So, as I went down frantically I noticed the differences in the basic structure, and I decided to leave because it's officially unknown territory again. Soon enough I'll explore it, but I'm certainly not ready for that kind of thing this soon. After a long while, I finally got level 23 and got all the spells I wanted. For a few hours I enjoyed the Orc Peninsula, such a great place to just mana sit your heart out. Pleased enough, I passed out on my bed while still logged in. That's it for that day.

Level advance, GM news

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! I had a decent one with my family although I was sleeping for most of the time. Around 10pm or so, I got on Tibia and started leveling. The rot cave in Venore seems to be a fun and decently convenient place to level. It took about 2 and a half hours to get the full level, but it sure was a lot more enjoyable than doing the dwarf mines. Before I got the level, I had to go back to town and unload some of the money I aquired from the hunt. I went to my depot in Venore, noticing a group of people standing around one guy. I went over there and saw that it was a GM standing right in the depot, seemingly afk while tons of brazilians asked him for things like the Thunder Hammer, and even going as far to request Orshabaal in Luminera. I found that kinda funny, and you can see the picture right above all of this. While on the GM subject, a friend of mine is hoping to become a GM as he's already a senior tutor. A dream that so many of us wished to accomplish. I wish Aaron the best of luck at becoming a GM, and no doubtably would he be one of the best. Until next time Tibia fans. Be expecting updates regularly either before Luminera server saves or right after.

The start of my blog, and the rebirth of my tibia career

Recently, I decided to start playing tibia again (how could I ever get away from it entirely?!) . Time and time again I'm brought back to this game so that I can ruin my real life all for some temporary enjoyment and seeking the almighty goal of being "good" or the best. It's an unconscious feeling, pretty hard to describe within a video game. The times before each gave me a decent amount of knowledge, being a paladin as well as a knight. But one thing spoke to me when I was coming back, just a few days ago. I've never been a successful mage. So, I start this journy and day by day I'll be updating everyone who reads this on what's happened. Pictures, and tibicams will be provided for quests and new achievements. We start off at level 20, on about day 3. Thus begins the expedition, expect an update later tonight.
